Voltarol 12 Hour Emulgel P 2.32% Gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac diethylammonium, which is an anti-inflammatory drug (or NSAID). Dislofenac topical gel is applied directly to the skin where it soaks through to penetrate the source of the pain, reducing inflammation and relieving discomfort from injuries. This fast-acting muscular and joint pain medication will help to improve mobility to get you moving well again.

What is Voltarol 12 Hour gel used for?

Do you have joint injuries and pain? Voltarol 12 Hour gel is specially formulated for rubbing into the skin. It is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling in painful conditions affecting the joints and muscles. Voltarol  gel provides all day relief from joint and muscle pain.

What are the common joint injuries?

ligaments being torn or stretched causes a sprain. ligaments are the bands of tissue that hold bones together. Tendons being overstretched or torn causes a strain.

How do I treat joint injuries.

Rest the joint and protect it from further injury. You should also take a pain killer by mouth. Be aware that Voltarol also contains a pain killer.

How do I use Voltarol gel?

Adults and children 14 years and over:

Rub the gel gently into the skin. apply two times a day, morning and evening. Do not use more than 8g a day.

The gel can be used for up to 14 days under pharmacy supervision.

After application, the hands should be washed unless they are the site being treated.

If symptoms do not improve by day 7, or if they worsen within the first 7 days, a consultation with a doctor is recommended.

cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Some rare and very rare side effects might be
serious
If you experience any of the following signs of allergy,
STOP using Voltarol 12 Hour Emulgel P and tell
a doctor or pharmacist immediately:
• Skin rash with blisters; hives. (These side effects
are likely to affect 1 to 10 people in every 10,000).
• Wheezing, shortness of breath or feeling
of tightness in the chest (asthma).
(These side effects are likely to affect less than
1 person in every 10,000).
• Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
(These side effects are likely to affect less than
1 person in every 10,000).
Other side effects which may occur are usually mild,
passing and harmless (if you are concerned, tell
a doctor or pharmacist)

Common side effects

100 patients)
• Skin rash, itching, reddening or smarting of the skin
Very rare side effects
(likely to affect less than 1 in every 10,000 patients)
• The skin may be more sensitive to the sun.
Possible signs are sunburn with itching, swelling
and blistering.
