Mucogel Suspension is a mint flavoured oral suspension for the prompt relief of acid indigestion, upset stomach (gastritis), stomach or duodenal ulcers, reflux and heartburn.Before You Use Mucogel Suspension
Do NOT use Mucogel Suspension if you:- are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients
- have severe kidney problems
- are severely weak or infirm.
- taking vitamins or any other medicines
- taking tetracycline antibiotics
- pregnant
How to Store Mucogel Suspension Liquid
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton after EXP.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Do not freeze.
- Store below 25° C.
- Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
Mucogel Side Effects
Side effects such as constipation or diarrhoea are unlikely but if you get any side effects tell your doctor or pharmacist. Frequency not known:- Abdominal pain.
- Hypermagnesemia. This was seen after prolonged administration to patients with renal impairment.
How To Use Mucogel Suspension Liquid
Shake the bottle well before use. Take 10-20 ml three times a day 20-60 minutes after meals, and at bedtime, or as required. Tell your doctor if symptoms do not go away.Ingredients
Active ingredients: dried aluminium hydroxide gel (220 mg/5 ml) and magnesium hydroxide (195 mg/5 ml). Other ingredients: sorbitol (E420), mannitol, hydrochloric acid, citric acid, methyl and propyl hydroxybenzoates (E218 and E216), simeticone emulsion, saccharin sodium, hydrogen peroxide, peppermint oil, sodium hypochlorite, purified water.
