    Clinitas Gel

Clinitas Gel is a clear colourless liquid gel and contains a lubricant that is used as a substitute for natural tears. Your eyes will normally produce just enough natural tears to allow them to move easily and comfortably. If your eyes do not produce enough tears they can become dry and irritated. It can also be used in patients who suffer from sore eyes because their tear film is unstable. Clinitas gel will help keep your eyes comfortable. You may have dry eyes and need Clinitas Gel if your eyes are:
    • Itchy
    • Sore
    • Gritty & red
    • Blurry
    • Sensitive to light
    • More watery than normal

    Clinitas Eye Gel

When using Clinitas Eye Gel at the same time with other eye drops/eye ointments, there should be an application time interval of approximately 15 minutes between use of such other medications and Clinitas Eye Gel should always be the last medication to be applied. If you are currently taking, have recently or might take other medications in the future, please speak to a doctor before using Clinitas Eye Gel. Clinitas Eye Gel shouldn’t be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in the patient information leaflet.

    Clinitas Carbomer Gel

Dry eyes, or dry eye disease is considered a common condition that occurs when your eyes aren’t lubricated adequately by tears. This can be caused by a myriad of reason, making the tears inadequate and unstable. For instance, dry eyes can occur if the tears produced by the eyes aren’t ‘high-quality’ or are ‘poor-quality’. This eventually leads to inflammation and damage of the cornea (surface of the eye) and will more than likely require treatment, such as Clinitas Carbomer Gel. Clinitas Carbomer Gel helps make the dry eyes more comfortable. Other changes to lifestyle can also help. Any changes made will more than likely need to be indefinite to control the symptoms of dry eyes. If symptoms continue to persist, even after making changes and adjusting your lifestyle, see a doctor. A referral to a specialist may be needed if the cause of your dry eyes can’t be narrowed down.

    Clinitas Gel Eye Drops

There are many reasons why Clinitas Gel Eye Drops may be required to treat dry eyes. Dry eyes can occur when you’re unable to produce enough quality tears. The medical term for this is called keratoconjunctivitis sicca. There are multiple common causes of decreased tear production including:
    • Aging
    • Medical conditions including Sjorgen’s syndrome, allergic eye disease, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, graft vs host disease, sarcoidosis, thyroid disorders or vitamin A deficiency.
    • Certain medications, including antihistamines, decongestants, hormone replacement therapy, antidepressants, and drugs for high blood pressure, acne, birth control and Parkinson’s disease.
    • Prolonged contact lens use causing nerve desensitivity and nerve damage caused by laser eye surgery.
Other treatment options may be recommended depending on the cause, but Clinitas Gel Eye Drops and other such treatments will more than likely be recommended first before more invasive options.

    Clinitas Carbomer Dry Eye Gel

Using Clinitas Carbomer Dry Eye Gel for the first time can cause your vision to become blurred if too much of the gel is applied at one time, or if the medicine is used more often than required. This can last for up to 1 hour. If you’re affected you may be able to speed up recovery of normal vision by blinking vigorously for a few seconds. If this doesn’t work, try to gently rub the eyelid. This will cause the gel to collect in the conjunctival sac beneath the eye where it can no longer affect vision out of one or both eyes. Should the vision is one or both eyes continue to be affected, immediately discontinue use of Clinitas Carbomer Dry Eye Gel and seek medical attention as soon as possible.

    Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Gel

Contact Lenses When using contact lenses and Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Gel take special care. Contact lenses should be removed prior to applying treatment. Wait 15 minutes after application before putting them back in. Driving and using machines As with all eye preparations, blurred vision can occur for a little while after putting the gel in. Wait until your vision has returned to normal before driving or using machinery. Pregnancy and breast-feeding If you’re pregnant or breast-feeding do not use Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Gel. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

    Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Eye Gel

The usual Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Eye Gel dosage is one drop applied two to four times a day as needed, or as required depending on the severity of your dry eye sensation. A healthcare practitioner may advise you to use Clinitas Carbomer 0.2 Eye Gel in a different way, so follow their directions about when and how to use this product and read the label. No dosage adjustment is required for children.

    Clinitas Eye Gel Side Effects

Like with all medicines, Clinitas Eye Gel Side Effects can occur, although not everybody will experience them. The eyes may sting a little when the drops are first applied. These effects will usually wear off within a few minutes. Visual disturbance, blurred vision and irritation with prolonged use may occur. A few reports of other Clinitas Eye Gel Side Effects such as allergic reactions have been received following the use of this medication. This is due to one of the ingredients. If you develop pain, swelling or redness in or around the eyes, you should stop using your medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
    • If you experience any other undesirable Clinitas Eye Gel Side Effects whilst using it, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
