Rozex 0.75% Cream - 50g

Rozex is a topical medicine used to treat redness and spots caused by rosacea. It can also help manage perioral dermatitis, a skin condition that appears as small, inflamed bumps around the mouth or nose.

The cream contains metronidazole, an antibacterial and antiprotozoal ingredient that works by reducing inflammation and controlling infection, helping to calm and clear affected skin.

Always use Rozex exactly as directed by your doctor, pharmacist, or the patient information leaflet.

• Wash and dry the affected areas before applying the cream.

• Apply a thin layer of Rozex to all affected areas and rub it in gently.

• Avoid getting the cream in your eyes, mouth, or on broken skin.

• Use twice daily (morning and evening), unless told otherwise by your doctor.

While using Rozex, avoid strong sunlight and UV exposure such as tanning beds or sun lamps. It’s also advised to avoid alcohol during treatment.

Like all medicines, Rozex can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them.

Common side effects include:

• dry skin
• redness
• itching or irritation
• skin discomfort
• worsening of rosacea symptoms

If you experience side effects not listed here, speak to your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report them via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat, rash, breathing difficulties, or loss of consciousness.

Do not use Rozex if you are allergic to metronidazole or any other ingredients in the cream, or if you have blood disorders.

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you are:

• taking other medicines, especially blood thinners (e.g. warfarin)
• pregnant or breastfeeding

Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds. If this occurs, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Age restrictions

Rozex is not suitable for children and should only be used by adults aged 18 and over.

If your child has rosacea or a similar condition, speak to a healthcare professional for appropriate alternatives.

Store Rozex in a cool, dry place below 25°C, and keep it out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging (the last day of the stated month).

Do not dispose of medicines via household waste or drains - ask your pharmacist how to safely discard unused cream.

This is a medicine. Always read the leaflet carefully before use and follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions.

If your symptoms do not improve or worsen after regular use, contact your GP or pharmacist.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to any ingredients, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Rozex.

Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and store them safely.
