Nicotinell Patches are available in three strengths. The dose you start with depends on how much you smoke per day.

More than 20 cigarettes per day

• Step 1 - 21 mg patch per day for 3-4 weeks
• Step 2 - 14 mg patch per day for 3-4 weeks
• Step 3 - 7 mg patch per day for 3-4 weeks

Less than 20 cigarettes per day

• Step 2 - 14 mg patch per day for 3-4 weeks
• Step 3 - 7 mg patch per day for 3-4 weeks

• Nicotinell Patches can be used for 24 hours. Apply a new nicotine patch every day, once you have removed the old one.

• Stick to a new area of skin which is unbroken, dry and hairless - this can be on your upper arm, upper back or hip.

• Smooth out the edges of the nicotine patch to ensure its stuck properly.
