Exorex Lotion 5% Coal Tar Solution - 100ml

Exorex Lotion (col tar solution 5% v/w cutaneous emulsion) contains the active ingredient coal tar for the treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis. Apply Exorex Lotion 2 or 3 times a day to those areas of the body affected by psoriasis. Do not be concerned if some of the lotion comes into contact with surrounding areas of unaffected skin. It is suitable for any age and can be diluted to suit individual requirements. Always read the package leaflet.

Coal tar has mild antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects, and relieves itching. It is also absorbed into the skin cells and is thought to inhibit DNA replication in these cells. This slows down cell division and stops the cells from multiplying excessively. In turn, this reduces thickening and scaling of the skin.

Apply Exorex Lotion 2 or 3 times a day to those areas of the body affected by psoriasis. Do not be concerned if some of the lotion comes into contact with surrounding areas of unaffected skin. The right amount should dry on your skin in about 2 minutes. Once dry, apply a comparable moisturiser such as Exorex Moisturising Cream to the same areas.

Everyone is different. You may find the Exorex Lotion is helping in just a few weeks, or it might take a bit longer. No two psoriasis sufferers are the same.
