Alphosyl is a 2-in-1 shampoo used to treat scalp conditions including eczema, psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis. It reduces scaling, inflammation and dandruff caused by any of these conditions.

Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo is used to treat skin conditions which affect the scalp, such as psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, itchiness and scaling. Using Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo will help relieve the itchiness and other symptoms associated with the above conditions.

The main active ingredient in Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo is an alcoholic extract from coal tar, which is an anti-scaling agent which helps breakdown keratin.

The main active ingredient, an alcoholic extract from coal tar, allows Alphosyl 2 In 1 Medicated Shampoo to treat scalp conditions such as psoriasis.

Coal tar belongs to a class of drugs called keratoplastics. Once applied to the skin, it causes dead skin cells to shed from the top layer and slow down the growth of new skin cells. Alphosyl 2 In 1 Medicated Shampoo should not be used if you have ever had an allergic reaction to coal tar or the other ingredients included in Alphosyl 2 In 1 Medicated Shampoo.

Alphosyl Dandruff Shampoo helps treat the white or grey flakes of skin that appear on the scalp and in the hair when someone has a condition like seborrheic dermatitis. There are several different types of anti-dandruff shampoos you can buy other than Alphosyl Dandruff Shampoo that include the following ingredients:

Zinc pyrithione
Salicylic acid
Selenium sulphide
Ketoconazole

All of the above ingredients can be alternatives to Alphosyl Dandruff Shampoo.

Alphosyl Shampoo UK is for external use only. If symptoms persist talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Alphosyl Shampoo UK should be used once or twice a week for four weeks.

How to use Alphosyl Shampoo UK

Make sure your hair is wet thoroughly before applying Alphosyl Shampoo UK.
Use enough Alphosyl Shampoo UK so that the lather is sufficient to cover your scalp, hair and adjacent areas.
Massage the scalp well using the fingertips.
Rinse your hair thoroughly

Once Alphosyl Shampoo UK is applied to the scalp, it should remain in contact for a total of three to five minutes over the two applications.

Side effects

Like with all medicine, Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo 250ml Side Effects can occur but these aren’t experienced by everyone. If you experience any of these Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo 250ml side effects, especially if any of them are getting progressively worse, immediately stop and speak to your doctor as soon as possible.

Unusual hair loss or thinning
Eczema
Abnormal hair texture
Eye irritation
Hair colour changes
Sensitivity to sunlight
Skin pain, rash or swelling at the site of application
Burning sensation of the skin

Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo Hair Loss is one of the many side effects someone may experience when using Alphosyl shampoo. If this is experienced for the first time only when using Alphosyl shampoo, treatment should immediately stop and consultation should be sought from a doctor.

Any Alphosyl 2 In 1 Shampoo Hair Loss may or may not be permanent depending on the amount of initial damage done to the hair.
