Abidec Immune Support drops can be given directly into your baby’s mouth or added to breast milk, cold liquids, or formula. They contain vitamin D3 and naturally occurring friendly bacteria, which can help to support your child’s immune system and promote the development of healthy, strong bones. Each pack of Abidec Immune Support contains one month’s worth of drops.
What is Abidec Immune Support used for?
Abidec can be used to support your baby’s immune system from birth until the age of three. Their immune system is their body’s natural defence system from the harmful substances that you can’t see, like germs, bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. These substances don’t belong in your baby’s body. The healthier their immune system, the better it can fight these substances.
Abidec Immune Support drops contain vitamin D3. Your baby needs this essential vitamin to absorb calcium – which promotes the development of healthy bones and teeth – and support the immune system. The drops also contain 200 million friendly bacteria. The formula is free from any sugar, preservatives, and colourants. It’s also lactose and gluten-free.
How long does it take to work?
Abidec Immune Support starts working straight away to support your child’s immune system. However, you may only notice a benefit in the long term.
Just five drops of Abidec Immune Support per day can support your baby’s immune system:
- Shake the bottle well before use to disperse the powder; this will cause the solution to become cloudy.
- Open the bottle and replace the cap with the pipette.
- Administer the drops directly into your baby’s mouth or add them to breast milk, cold liquids, or lukewarm infant formula.
- Remove the pipette and replace the cap on the bottle.
Importantly, this product is a supplement and should not be used as a replacement for a balanced diet.
Side effects are uncommon, but some babies may experience mild digestive upset. Seek advice if you notice anything unusual. Always stick to the recommended dose for your child, as they can have too much of certain vitamins, like vitamin D.
Do not use Abidec Immune Support if you or your child are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Ensure the contents of the bottle is used within 60 days of opening. Speak to your doctor or a pharmacist before using this product if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Store Abidec drops out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use them after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
Abidec Immune Support isn’t the best choice for children over three years’ old. Here are a few options you can try if you want to supplement your child’s diet with multivitamins:
-
Abidec Multivitamin Drops: An ideal choice for babies under one to give them the vitamins and nutrients they need to grow. Administer on a syringe, at the back of their tongue.
-
Abidec Advanced Multivitamin Syrup: Suitable for children aged one to five, this syrup is easy-to-take and ensures they’re getting the vitamins they need to stay healthy.
-
Haliborange Kids Multivitamin Softies: A great option for older children aged 3-12, these strawberry-flavoured gummies are full of goodness that they’re sure to enjoy.
Does Abidec boost the immune system?
Whether or not anyone can ‘boost’ their immune system is a debated topic. Overall, scientists tend to agree that the immune system is an incredibly complex system, and there’s no one thing that can supercharge it. However, nutrition plays a crucial role in helping the immune system to function at its best. Abidec Immune Support can help with this by helping to meet your child’s nutritional needs.
Is it ok to give Abidec to a baby?
Yes, Abidec Immune Support is suitable for babies from birth until the age of three.
Is Abidec better than Wellbaby?
Whether Abidec is better than Wellbaby depends on how old your child is and which vitamins you’re wanting to supplement. We suggest you take a look at the products available and consider which one can help to meet your child’s needs.
Abidec Immune Support contains vitamin D3 and 200 million friendly bacteria. Abidec drops can promote the development of healthy bones and contribute to the normal function of the immune system. They’re suitable from babies from birth until the age of three.
