  • What is Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Cream?

Canesten Clotrimazole Cream 1% is an antifungal medication used to treat infections such as:
    • ringworm
    • athlete’s foot
    • nappy rash
    • fungal sweat rash
    • fungal nail infection
    • thrush
The cream helps to ease symptoms such as itching and irritation and takes around seven days to work. It can be used by both children and adults.

    How it works

Canesten Clotrimazole Cream 1% works by causing holes to appear in the cell membrane of the fungus or yeast that has caused the infection. This causes the contents of the cell membrane to leak out, destroy the fungus and treat the infection. Your itching and irritation should begin to ease after a few days of use; however, redness and scaling may take longer to resolve.
