    Difflam Lozenges During Pregnancy

    Difflam Lozenges While Pregnant

    Using Difflam Lozenges while pregnant could cause needless harm to an unborn baby. Difflam has recommended that taking Difflam Lozenges while pregnant is not advisable. Reports have been received of adverse effects when this guidance is not followed.     Difflam Ct Throat Lozenges

    You should not take Difflam Ct Throat Lozenges if:
    • You are allergic to Benzydamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
    • You suffer from a condition known as phenylketonuria. Phenylketonuria is an inborn error of metabolism that results in decreased metabolism of the amino acid phenylalanine.
    • You are allergic to salicylic acid or to other anti-inflammatory painkillers called NSAIDs. For example ibuprofen.
    Before using Difflam Ct Throat Lozenges, there are a couple of warnings and precautions you should be aware of.
    • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you:
      • Have a history of Asthma
      • Have been told you have an intolerance to certain sugars

    How To Take Difflam Lozenges

    The following ‘How to take Difflam Lozenges’ guide is the default recommendations by the manufacturer. If you doctor has given you specific instructions, always take this medication exactly as described. The recommended dose for adults and children over 6 years old: one lozenge 3 times a day. Do not take more than 3 lozenges per day. The use of this medicine in children 6 to 11 years old should be under the supervision of an adult. Children under the age of 6 should not be given Difflam Lozenges.
    • Each lozenge should be dissolved in the mouth.
    • Do not swallow or chew the lozenge.
    • Difflam Lozenges should not be used for more than seven days.
