Fenbid Gel 5% provides targeted pain relief for sore muscles, joints, and inflammation. It helps ease pain from backaches, sprains, strains, or sports injuries - ideal when you need fast, soothing relief without taking tablets.

    How Fenbid Gel 5% works

The active ingredient in Fenbid Gel is ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Ibuprofen reduces inflammation and swelling where it’s applied, helping relieve discomfort and stiffness. Because the gel is absorbed through the skin directly into the affected area, it works at the source of your pain without the need for oral medication. It’s suitable for common joint and muscle pain, such as those caused by sports injuries or general wear and tear.

    Directions

Always use this product exactly as directed by your doctor, pharmacist, or the patient information leaflet.
    1. Squeeze 4 to 10 cm of gel (roughly the length of a finger) onto the affected area.
    2. Gently massage into the skin until fully absorbed.
    3. Use up to 4 times a day, leaving at least 4 hours between applications.
Do not cover the area with bandages or dressings after applying the gel and wash your hands after each use.

    Side effects

Like all medicines, Fenbid Gel 5% can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. There are no common side effects reported for this medicine. If you experience irritation, redness, or a rash at the application site, stop using the gel and speak to your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly to the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

    Serious side effects

Stop using Fenbid Gel and seek immediate medical attention if you notice signs of a severe allergic reaction, including:
    • swelling of the face, lips, or throat
    • difficulty breathing
    • rash, itching, or dizziness
    • loss of consciousness
If you have a history of kidney problems and notice changes in urination or swelling in your legs, stop use and contact your doctor right away.
