  • What is SMA Anti Reflux Baby Milk Formula From Birth?

    SMA Anti Reflux Baby Milk Formula From Birth is thickened with added starch to help it stay down in babies with reflux. This nutritionally dense formula is recommended for newborn babies up to 12 months old. Made with 100% whey and partially hydrolysed protein, SMA Anti Reflux is designed to be easy for babies to digest. It can be used as your baby’s sole source of nutrition, instead of usual formula. It can also be mixed with food when you start weaning your baby.  

    How to use SMA Anti Reflux Baby Milk Formula From Birth

    This thicker formula requires a fast flow teat. To prepare a feed:
    1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
    2. Sterilise the bottle and fast flow teat.
    3. Fill the kettle with freshly run water and boil it.
    4. Allow it to cool for no longer than 30 minutes.
    5. Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle.
    6. Place the sterilised fast-flow teat and cap on the bottle and cool the bottle under cold running water until it is lukewarm. Do not immerse the teat.
    7. Add the correct number of scoops using the scoop provided in the packaging (see below). Level off each scoop with the back of a clean, dry knife.
    8. Prepare each feed in individual bottles when required.
    Feeding guide:
    • Newborn-2 weeks: 3 scoops in 90ml of water
    • 2-8 weeks: 4 scoops in 120ml of water
    • 2 months: 5 scoops in 150ml of water
    • 3-4 months: 6 scoops in 180ml of water
    • 6 months: 8 scoops in 240ml of water
    • 7-12 months: 7 scoops in 210ml of water

    Warning

    If your child experiences an allergic reaction after consuming this product, stop using it immediately and speak to your GP or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice. For medical services in your area, please refer to www.nhs.uk. Do not heat a feed in the microwave; this can cause hot spots in the formula, which may scald your infant. Do not add extra powder to water to make feeds stronger. Do not use other feed thickeners or antacids. Do not alter or add to the formula unless you have been medically directed to do so.

    How to store SMA Anti Reflux Baby Milk Formula From Birth

    Store this product in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not refrigerate this product. Use this product within four weeks of opening. Do not use it after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
