    Regaine for Women Scalp Foam

    Regaine for Women is a once-daily treatment designed to help women experiencing hereditary hair loss. It promotes hair regrowth, helping your hair grow back stronger and healthier over time. Regaine for Women contains minoxidil, an active ingredient that encourages blood flow to the scalp. This helps nourish and stimulate hair follicles, promoting stronger hair and new growth.

    Directions

    Each dose is 1g (half a capful) of foam.
    1. Part your hair to expose the scalp.
    2. Gently massage the foam into the affected areas with your fingertips.
    3. Reapply as needed to cover all thinning areas.
    4. Use once a day only.
    Hair regrowth is a slow process, so results may take 12 to 24 weeks of consistent use. The first regrown hairs may appear soft and fine, but with continued treatment they should become thicker and closer in texture to your normal hair. You can continue colouring or dyeing your hair while using Regaine for Women. Let your stylist know you’re using it, and ask them to be gentle when combing or styling to reduce breakage. You can also style your hair as normal using your usual products. However, Regaine must be applied to a dry scalp before styling.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, Regaine for Women can cause side effects, though not everyone gets them. Seek emergency medical help if you experience:
    • chest pain
    • swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or throat
    • difficulty breathing or swallowing
    Stop use and speak to a doctor or pharmacist if you experience:
    • allergic reaction (e.g. redness, itching, swelling)
    • low blood pressure, faintness, or dizziness
    • rapid heartbeat or palpitations
    • swelling in hands or feet
    • sudden unexplained weight gain
    • rash or persistent irritation
    Other side effects may include:
    • headache
    • itching or dermatitis
    • nausea
    • unwanted hair growth on other areas (e.g. face - always wash hands after use)
    • changes in hair texture
    Report side effects via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme if necessary.

    Warnings

    Do not use this product if you are:
    • male
    • under 18 or over 65
    • allergic to minoxidil or any listed ingredients
    • pregnant or breastfeeding
    • using other scalp medications or dressings
    Do not use if you have:
    • hair loss caused by medication
    • hair loss from an unknown cause or which is sudden and unexpected
    • total baldness or complete loss of body hair
    • scalp conditions such as psoriasis or sunburn
    • a shaved scalp
    • high blood pressure
    Regaine can occasionally cause dizziness or low blood pressure. Do not drive or use machinery unless you are sure you are unaffected. Regaine for Women is flammable – use and store it away from heat or open flames.

    Pregnancy

    Do not use Regaine for Women if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If you’re unsure about any treatment during this time, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Other medication

    Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Regaine if you take other medicines, including those bought without a prescription. Minoxidil can interact with vasodilators (used to treat high blood pressure) and topical treatments for scalp conditions, such as:
    • Dithranol (psoriasis)
    • Tretinoin (acne)
    • Corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory creams)
    • Petrolatum (found in hair wax and gels)

    Storage information

    Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C in its original packaging. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the base of the can. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
