    • What is Warticon?

Warticon Solution 0.5% is a simple, yet effective treatment for genital wart flare-ups. It comes with a tube of disposable applicators, so you’ll have everything you need to make your treatment as quick and easy as possible. If you want to try Warticon Solution for your genital warts, get started with a quick consultation with one of our prescribers. You should tell your prescriber during your consultation if your warts cover an area larger than 4cm (around the same size as a postage stamp).

      How Warticon works

Warticon contains the active ingredient podophyllotoxin, which is a type of antimitotic. Podophyllotoxin works by stopping HPV from growing and replicating, which prevents it from producing warts. When you apply Warticon directly to your genital warts, it travels directly to the virus within your skin to get rid of existing warts and prevent new ones from developing until the outbreak has passed.

How to use Warticon Solution 0.5%?

      To use Warticon:
      1. Wash and dry your hands and the area you want to treat.
      2. Dip one end of a disposable applicator into the bottle of solution. Use the small loop for warts that are few and spaced out, and the spatula end for warts that are large or clumped together.
      3. When the loops in the applicator have filled with solution, apply it directly to a wart, making sure it’s covered in just enough solution and avoiding areas of healthy skin.
      4. Repeat this process for all your genital warts.
      5. Let the solution dry.
      6. When you’re finished, wash your hands again.
      7. Apply twice per day for three days, once in the morning and once in the evening, leaving 12 hours between each application.
You may only need one course of treatment, but if your warts have not disappeared after the first course, you should speak to your doctor. They will assess your condition and recommend a course of treatment for you, which may be another course of Warticon, if you need it.
