  • What are Numark Rehydration Treatment for Diarrhoea sachets?

    Numark Rehydration Treatment for Diarrhoea Sachets are a type of oral rehydration solution (ORS). They dissolve in water to make a delicious blackcurrant-flavoured drink to help you rehydrate after a period of diarrhoea or vomiting. These sachets are ideal for both adults and children.  

    How they work

    Numark Rehydration Treatment sachets work by replacing any fluids you’ve lost through diarrhoea or vomiting and restoring the balance of salts in your body.  

    How to use Numark Rehydration Treatment for Diarrhoea sachets

    Always take Numark Rehydration Treatment sachets as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you to. 
    1. Mix the contents of one sachet into 200ml of fresh, clean drinking water (or cooled boiled water).
    2. Drink the mixture right away.
    3. For best results, do this after each loose stool, as required.
     

    Side effects

    There are no known side effects of using Numark Rehydration Treatment sachets. If you experience any side effects, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

    Serious side effects

    Seek emergency medical attention if you notice the signs of a severe allergic reaction, including:
    • swelling of the face and throat
    • skin rash
    • breathing difficulties
    • loss of consciousness
     

    Who can’t use Numark Rehydration Treatment for Diarrhoea sachets?

    Do not use Numark Rehydration Treatment sachets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. This product is not suitable for children under one year old.  

    When to speak to a doctor or pharmacist

    Talk to your doctor or one of our pharmacists before taking this medicine if you:
    • are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding
    • are taking any other medications
     

    How to store Numark Rehydration Treatment for Diarrhoea sachets

    Store this product below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
