What are Numark Diarrhoea Relief Loperamide Instants?
Numark Diarrhoea Relief Loperamide Instants help to relieve diarrhoea by making the stools more solid and less frequent. These tablets are orodispersible, meaning they are designed to dissolve on your tongue. This makes them a great option for people who have trouble swallowing tablets. How loperamide work
Numark Diarrhoea Relief Loperamide Instants contain 2mg of the active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride. Loperamide hydrochloride helps to resolve the symptoms of diarrhoea by slowing down your overactive bowel. As diarrhoea is caused by an excess of fluid in the gut, slowing down the bowel allows the body to absorb these excess fluids more effectively. How to use Numark Diarrhoea Relief Loperamide Instants
The recommended dosage for these loperamide tablets is two tablets to start treatment, followed by one tablet after each loose bowel movement. Do not take loperamide tablets for diarrhoea attacks that last longer than 48 hours, and do not take more than 6 tablets in a 24-hour period. If you are an adult diagnosed with IBS, your doctor may recommend taking loperamide tablets for up to two weeks. However, you should only take loperamide for this long on the advice of a doctor, and you must still not exceed the stated dose or take loperamide for an attack that lasts longer than 48 hours.Loperamide side effects
Most people take loperamide without any problems, however, loperamide can cause some side effects, such as:- headache
- nausea (feeling sick)
- constipation
- wind
- drowsiness (if you experience this, do not drive or use machinery)
