  • What is Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Cream?

Canesten Clotrimazole Cream 1% is an antifungal medication used to treat infections such as:
    • ringworm
    • athlete’s foot
    • nappy rash
    • fungal sweat rash
    • fungal nail infection
    • thrush
It can be used by both children and adults and takes around seven days to work, though you should keep using the cream for two weeks after your symptoms have gone to prevent the infection from coming back.

How does Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Cream work?

Canesten Clotrimazole Cream 1% contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, which helps to ease symptoms such as itching and irritation. It works by causing holes to appear in the cell membrane of the fungus or yeast that has caused the infection. This causes the contents of the cell membrane to leak out, destroy the fungus and treat the infection.
