What is Cow & Gate Instant Carobel?
Cow & Gate Instant Carobel is a thickening agent that can be prescribed to help manage infantile vomiting, reflux, or spitting. It is suitable for breast-fed and bottle-fed infants and infants of all ages. It can also be used in adults, when required, for special medical purposes.How to use Cow & Gate Instant Carobel
Please read the information leaflet carefully before using Cow & Gate Instant Carobel. To use this product:- Add one scoop to milk, juice or water.
- Shake well and leave for 3-4 minutes.
- Shake the mixture again and feed your infant straight away.
Minerals in Cow & Gate Instant Carobel
Cow & Gate Instant Carobel is made from carob bean gum. Each 1.7g scoop contains:- sodium – 0.1mg
- potassium – 2mg
- chloride – 2mg
- calcium – 6mg
- phosphorus – 0.2mg
- magnesium – 0.15mg
- iron – 0.15mg
- zinc – 0.09mg
- copper – 0.002mg
- manganese – 0.005mg
Warning
A small percentage of infants consuming Cow & Gate Instant Carobel may pass frequent loose stools. If this occurs, stop using this product until their stools are back to normal. Reintroduce it gradually, increasing the quantity according to individual tolerance. If you or your child experiences an allergic reaction after having this product, stop using it immediately and speak to your GP or one of our pharmacists for advice.How to store Cow & Gate Instant Carobel
