    Psoriderm Bath Additive Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a skin condition that can be treated using this shampoo. Before using Psoriderm Bath Additive Psoriasis shampoo you should first get a diagnosis. It’s very difficult to identify as it may appear similar to other, more common, skin conditions. Psoriasis is the result of an accumulation of extra skin cells. These extra cells form red, scaly patches known as plaques. They are typically covered in silver-white flakes and have sharp borders. It’s rare and affects around 2% of people in the UK, so a history of the family and other autoimmune disorders will have to be examined to determine what may have caused it to appear. If psoriasis is eventually diagnosed, over-the-counter treatments such as Psoriderm Bath Additive Psoriasis shampoo will be tried first. If it doesn’t prove effective enough, a prescription only medication such as a steroid cream or shampoo may need to be prescribed.

What Is Psoriderm Bath Emulsion Used For?

A common question we often see posted online is “What is Psoriderm Bath Emulsion used for?” Psoriderm Emulsion is used to help treat a particular type of psoriasis called sub-acute or chronic plaque psoriasis. This condition presents itself as a small to large, red, scaly and thickened area of skin. It is categorised into two categories, large plaque and small plaque psoriasis. Large plaque psoriasis often has thick, well-demarcated, red plaques with silvery scales. It’s associated with metabolic syndrome and is often diagnosed in people under 40 years old. Small plaque psoriasis often presents as small, numerous lesions. They are typically thinner and pinker than there large counterparts. They may be well-defined or merged with surrounding skin. Counter to large plaques, this condition often presents in people older than 40 years of age. Psoriderm can improve chronic psoriasis but it is incredibly difficult to clear completely with topical treatments alone. Systemic agents or a treatment option called phototherapy is considered when plaque psoriasis is too severe. Phototherapy is a type of electromagnetic radiation that is used to treat a variety of different skin disorders.
