
Fats
Fats are an important part of a healthy diet, but there is a lot of confusion over which fats are healthy and which are not. The omega-3 fats from oily fish and the omega-6 fats are essential for health, while trans-fats from artificially made fats are injurious to health. Then there are the unsaturated and saturated fats to consider. Low fat diets are often promoted for weight loss, but such diets do not normally work and miss out on the essential property of fays which helps us feel full and so eat less.
