Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream is used to provide relief from pain, itching and inflammation caused by insect bites, insect stings and rashes caused from stinging nettles.
In Anthisan the active ingredient mepyramine maleate is an antihistamine with antipruritic (relieves itching) and local analgesic (numbs the skin) actions.
How to use Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream:
For use in adults and children 2 years and above:
- The cream should be applied directly to the affected parts of the skin two or three times a day for up to three days
- For best results use as soon as possible after the bite or sting
Do not use repeated application of Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream on any one area of skin for longer than 3 days
Always follow the instructions in your own product
Active ingredient: mepyramine maleate 2% w/w.
Other ingredients include: ceto-stearyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol 600 monostearate, castor oil, methylhydroxybenzoate, foin coupe (fragrance), silicone antifoam and purified water.
Do not use Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream:
- If you have eczema or on areas of extensively broken skin
- On large areas of skin
- On cut or grazed skin
- On sunburnt areas of skin
- To treat a child under 2 years of age
You should consult your doctor before using this product if: You are or think you may be pregnant or you are breast feeding.
After using Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream:
- You MUST seek immediate medical attention if Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream is accidentally swallowed, particularly in young children.
- On rare occasions a rash (skin sensitisation) may occur. If this happens, STOP using the cream immediately.
- Use of Anthisan on large areas of skin may cause drowsiness and confusion.
