Lancets & Lancing Devices
Lancets are the sharp bits that are used to prick yourself, to draw a small drop of blood, to test for glucose if you are diabetic. You can prick yourself with these on their own if you are brave, but most people find it much easier to use these lancets in a lancing device. Lancing devices are the things that hold the lancets firmly, and when you click them they prick your skin in a very controlled way. You can usually adjust the depth that they prick, and so make sure that this only goes in as deep as you need. Different areas of skin will need different adjustments depending how thick your skin is.
