Disposable Insulin Syringes are available in the following sizes -

• Disposable Insulin Syringe 1.0ml 29G 12.7mm

Choose the smallest syringe volume to measure the volume of Insulin you are injecting, as this is more accurate. The 0.3 & 0.5ml syringes are calibrated in 1 unit intervals, and the 1ml syringes in 2 unit intervals.

Chose the right length needle as recommended by your diabetes clinic. Both the 8 & 12.7mm lengths are designed to used with a lifted skin fold.

The needle gauge is a measure of the thickness of the needle, and the higher the number the thinner the needle, and thinner needles cause less pain. The shorter needles can be the thinner 30G, while the longer ones need to be more robust and are the slightly thicker 29G.
