This is not as accurate as blood glucose testing for diabetics, as glucose only overflows into your urine when it is already present at a level that your body cannot handle.

Diastix Glucose Test Strips: Semi quantitative test for glucose. Pack of 50 Diastix strips incorporating a reagent area that tests specifically for glucose and changes colour if glucose is present in solution.

Diastix Test Strips testing: Testing is carried out at room temperature and the colour of the reagent area at 30 seconds after wetting is compared to the colour chart on the bottle label.

• Results are obtained directly from comparison to the colour chart
• Each colour block represents a range of values

The colour blocks represent nominal values:

• Actual values will vary around the nominal values
• Results are read from the colour chart as negative or varying degrees of positive which indicate the relative amounts of glucose present
