Law Of Attraction
The Law Of Attraction says that your conscious or unconscious thoughts and desires attract more of themselves into your life, even if you don't seem to take any action to make this happen.

What is the Law Of Attraction?
The Law Of Attraction isn't a law in the scientific sense of the word, but is a principle that has come to be widely accepted as an explanation for some of the underlying principles of success and positive psychology., as it connects what you think about with what happens in your life, and shows that your life is under your influence to control.
You will attract what you think about into your life, so be careful what you think about and concentrate on.
Your mind doesn't understand negatives, so don't think 'I don't want to be poor' because your mind ignores the negative and records this thought as 'I want to be poor' and passes this thought for storage in the subconscious mind, who's job it is to make this happen, and attract this poverty into your life. A good example to prove this point is to say to yourself 'Don't think about the colour green', and the chances are that the colour green is exactly what pops into your mind. So it is much better to say to yourself 'Think of the colour red' or 'I want to be wealthy'.
Your mind doesn't distinguish between reality and your thoughts, so if you spend your time worrying about something happening, such as making a fool of yourself in public, then your mind treats this exactly the same as if you had done so, and tries to protect you from doing this again by making you worried about social situations before they happen, so that you avoid them. The trouble is that this is the way to rob you of all self confidence.
Applying the Law Of Attraction depends on how you think and what you believe, and both of these are under your control. The most popular publication in recent years to help you maximise the Law Of Attraction is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne , and we have a 20 minute video clip from this film for you to see.

Criticisms of the Law Of Attraction
Some people say that the Law Of Attraction doesn't work for them, and who can argue, as the only person who knows if something like this works is the person trying it, however there are a number of recognised ways in which people can sabotage this law working for them, and these should be recognised. Here are some examples:
- Not believing that it will work. If you deep down don't believe that something will happen, then this is the message that your mind will work on. The same thing applies if you are frightened about actually achieving what you want, or if you really consider it unwise or imoral, or have any other reservation.
- Not being precise enough. Vague ideas don't work, because they don't mean anything concrete, so 'I want to lose weight' is a poor goal to set, but ' I want to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks' is precise, because you will know if you have achieved it or not.
- The idea is too big. The subconscious mind can be overwhelmed by big ideas and just not try, so break big ideas down into smaller steps.
- You tell others too soon. These things have their own time scale and are not as quick as some people would want, and so you can feel foolish if you can't show real results after telling others what you want to do. It is often best to only involve others when they can directly help you achieve what you want.
- You don't take action. Well, yes, the Law Of Attraction sounds as though you just have to lie back and daydream about something and it will happen. In reality you do have to take action to achieve things, but the attraction principle helps to bring the right things to your attention so that you notice them.
