Depression is more than having a bad day or feeling a bit down. Depression is a serious condition which can take over your whole life. It is also very common and can affect almost anybody, and is certainly not a sign of weakness. It can start for no apparent reason, or be triggered by an event such as the breakdown of a relationship, or the loss of a job. Depression should be taken seriously and discussed at an early stage with your doctor. There are many causes of depression and many things will help. It is important that you take an active part in your road to recovery and find the truth behind the different treatments.
