How to use Alvita Pregnancy Test:

Doing the Alvita Pregnancy Test: When you are ready to begin testing remove the test from the foil wrapper and  remove the tests cap.

• With the tip pointing downwards, hold the absorbent sampler in your urine stream for at least 10 seconds until thoroughly wet
• Be careful not to splash above the arrow mark as this will affect the result
• Remove the sampler from the urine stream and keep the test pointing downward for a few seconds and replace the cap

Alternatively: Collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container.

• Immerse only as far as the arrow, in the urine for 3 seconds
• Keep the absorbent sampler pointing downwards for a few seconds and then replace the cap

Place the absorbent sampler on a flat surface with the window facing upwards and do not move the test while the results are developing:

• The test can be read after 1 minute regardless of which method you choose
• Read and discard the test after 5 minutes
• Always read the instructions in your own product

Reading the result of your Alvita Pregnancy Test:

• If there is a pink line in the test and the control area of the window - You are pregnant
• If there is no line in the test area of the window - You are not pregnant

If there are no lines in either the control or test area of the window within 5 minute the test has not worked:

• Also if there is only a pink line in the test area of the window this again has not worked and is invalid
• The test stick should then be discarded and a new stick should be used for a further test

How does the Alvita Pregnancy Test work? Alvita Pregnancy Test works by detecting the pregnancy hormone hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotrophin). The amount of hCG in your body increases in the early stages of pregnancy. For your result to be 'Pregnant', there must be a pink line in the control area of the window and a pink line in the test area of the window within five minutes of performing the test.

Do I have to test in the morning? No, you can test at any time of the day. You do not have to use an early morning urine sample. Although you can test at any time of day, your first morning urine is usually most concentrated of the day and would have the most hCG in it.
