Agnus Castus
Agnus castus, or Chasteberry, has been used since the time of the ancient Greeks to help with Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and other menstrual problems. It is thought to stimulate the production of progesterone in women, and is of benefit in correcting and oestrogen-progesterone imbalance. The name Chasteberry derives from its use by monks in the Middle Ages to reduce their libido and remain chaste.
