Gallstones
Gallstones are common but usually cause no problems, and about 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men will have them at some stage in their life, becoming more common as we get older. However, about 1 in 3 people who have them will go on to develop some problems which can cause pain, which can be severe, and needs to be investigated by your doctor.
