SuperLiving strives to operate our business in an environmentally way by -

• Shredding our waste paper and using it as a packing material
• Using biodegradable corn chips as an additional packing material rather than polystyrene

Playing our part in recycling used electrical equipment

The WEEE Regulations (Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment Regulations) encourages customers to recycle used electrical items in an approved way, rather than just put them in the bin. This will minimise the environmental impact by disposing of the electrical components in an environmentally friendly way. Did you know that at present over 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where lead and other toxins contained in electrical goods cause soil and water contamination?

As a responsible retailer we wish to contribute to the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery under the WEEE Regulations, and have subscribed to the Government's approved Valpak Scheme, whereby we direct our customers to the www.recyclemore.co.uk web site which lists the local facilities available for responsible recycling of used electrical equipment, and describes in more detail our environmental responsibilities. As a consequence of joining the Valpak Scheme SuperLiving is not required to take back old electrical equipment for recycling, and will not accept such items returned to us. 

All electrical equipment should now be marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol as a reminder that it should not just be binned, but properly recycled.
