Anbesol Adult Gel (10g) [P]
Anbesol Adult Strength Gel is used for temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers and denture irritation. It can be used by children over 12 and adults.
The active ingredients are the local anaeathetic Lidocaine to numb the area, and the antiseptics Chlorocresol and Cetylpyridinium Chloride to reduce infections.
Adults and the Elderly:
- Apply a small amount of Anbesol Adult Strength Gel to a clean fingertip.
- One application should be sufficient to obtain temporary pain relief.
- Use up to four times a day.
Not for use in children under 12 years
Overdose:
If you take more than the prescribed dose it would not be expected to
cause any adverse effects unless more than one tube of Anbesol Adult
Strength Gel is taken, in which case you should consult your doctor or
pharmacist.
Anbesol Adult Strength Gel contains the active ingredients Lidocaine Hydrochloride that is a local anaesthetic to numb the pain and Chlorocresol and Cetylpyridinium Chloride, which are antiseptics to help protect against infection.
Anbesol Adult Strength Gel also contains: Alcohol, Clove Oil, Glycerin, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Sodium Saccharin, Colourant E124, Water
Side-effects:
Anbesol Adult Strength
Gel may not suit everybody. Some patients may have side effects. If an
unwanted effect is severe or lasts more than a few days, you should see
your doctor or pharmacist.
Unwanted side effects may include ulceration.
If you notice any other unwanted side effect, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist
If you are sensitive to any of the above ingredients you should not use this product without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
Special Warnings:
If symptoms continue for more than 7 days or recur frequently, consult your doctor, pharmacist or dentist.
