Evening Primrose Oil

Evening primrose oil is extracted from the seed of the evening primrose flower, which is rich in an essential omega-6 fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) which has been used for eczema, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and rheumatoid arthritis. Omega-6 fatty acids are essential for good health, but need to be balanced with omega-3 fatty acids in roughly equal proportions for optimum nutrition, remembering that these omega-3 fatty acids are more common in the diet that the omega-3 fish oils.
